Dates: Sundays 2-6pm, 9/22 to 10/20

This 5-session intermediate-level workshop focuses on carcase / cabinet design and joinery techniques. Working with both machines and hand tools, you will build a solid hardwood display cabinet with splined miter joinery, dadoed shelves, and routed edge details. Topics covered:

  • Working with design drawings

  • How to make a cut list and estimate materials and cost from a design

  • Milling rough lumber using the jointer, planer and table saw

  • Splined miter and dado joinery using the table saw

  • Edge profiling and keyhole mounting with a router

  • Fine tuning joinery with hand tools

All tools, materials, and safety equipment are provided.

**Prerequisite for this class is completion of Intro to Woodworking or Workshop Certification or equivalent experience with instructor pre-approval.**
