Shop Monitor - Part time / hourly employee
Do you have solid experience with woodworking machines setup, operation and safety? Are you passionate about making and enjoy sharing your knowledge?
As a Shop Monitor, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations in the shop, including:
Maintain shop equipment and tools and communicate repair and shop supply needs.
Clean and organize studio to maintain a safe and effective working environment for members.
Monitor open studio hours, engaging with members as needed for safety or technical assistance. Reinforce shop rules / etiquette.
Administrative (training provided): Track and update members’ studio bookings using our online app, handle purchases of consumables by members, provide tours and q&a to shop visitors / prospective members.
Currently we are looking for someone who can work a mix of weekend and daytime shifts, 12 to 20 hrs per week. Schedule can be flexible.
