Workshop Certification

Do you have solid experience with woodworking machines and want to work independently in our community shop?

Certification is a test, not a class. You'll need to demonstrate an understanding of safety, operation and basic techniques on any machine you plan to use.

Friendly note: We’ve found that taking one class is not enough hands-on experience to pass this cert. Beginners: for your own safety (and others in the shop), please plan on taking additional classes or private lessons before doing certification.

There is no refund available for certifications not passed.

Cost: $50/ $100 / $150

Select from table saw, band saw, miter saw, planer, jointer, drill press, and various stationary sanders. NO ROUTER.
Allow 1 hour. $100.

Get certified on any of the above, plus hand-held router and router table.
Allow 1.5 hours. $150.

Add routers to your existing cert. Includes hand-held and router table.
Allow 30 min. $50.
